FAQs
What is a “Home Office Ergonomic Solution?”
A “Home Office Ergonomic Solution” will help you fix your posture, help you with persistent body pain, and/or will help you find a low-cost way to upgrade your existing workspace. You spend the majority of your day in your home office - Home Office Ergonomic Solutions is here to make sure you are comfortable and pain-free while you’re working!
How do I schedule an appointment?
Scheduling an appointment is easy! Just click on my “Appointments” tab. After you submit your appointment request, you’ll receive two digital surveys which will help me determine the best way to improve and address your pain and modify your workspace.
I scheduled an appointment. What happens next?
Once you’ve submitted a request for an appointment, you’ll receive the surveys which will help me determine the next steps in your individualized assessment and office improvement plan. When you’ve answered the questions in the surveys, I’ll set up a phone or video chat so we can get to know each other. From there, I’ll set up an in-person consultation. After your in-person assessment, you’ll get a personalized analysis of your workspace, exercises, as well as any additional recommendations.
Will I have to buy a lot of expensive equipment?
Not necessarily! Home Office Ergonomic Solutions is committed to optimizing your posture and your workspace while being aware of your budget. Often we can use several items that you may already have to make some of the modifications. My motto is “high impact, low cost solutions.”
What happens during and after my assessment? How long will my appointment take?
Assessments last 1-2 hours, and each assessment starts with a discussion and a review of the discomfort survey and the workspace survey (which you’ll receive after you sign up for an appointment). I will take a look at your current work space set up, and will observe you working. Measurements will be taken. After this observation period, I will work with you to modify your workspace, remeasuring and modifying as needed to make sure you have the best workspace possible.
At the end of the appointment, I will review exercises with you to ensure continued success with your workspace. After the appointment, I will provide you with a written assessment (if you choose that option) with recommendations for any equipment. (You will receive this written assessment no later than 1 week after your appointment.)
You also have the opportunity to have a follow up via virtual assessment or on-sight assessment after you make your modifications.
