“Early on in the pandemic my WFH setup was clearly causing issues aggravating old injuries. I asked Jen for her advice, given her decades of experience in occupational therapy. She paid a visit (socially-distant and masked) to help me survey my setup, adapt the available desk options to the right ergonomic height, and set my keyboard, mouse, computer, and monitors at the proper spacing and height so as to avoid repetitive stress and injury. A year later I'm thrilled to say I have no pain, no ergonomic stressors, and my setup remains the same. 10/10 would recommend working with Jen to get your ideal WFH situation.

“When my company switched to telecommuting due to COVID-19, I found my computer set-up was uncomfortable for my back and shoulders. Jennifer Currens was recommended for assessment of my work station. She was very thorough…She was also able to make recommendations for a better keyboard and mouse.

She was able to use what I had in my home to make simple modifications to my work station while I shopped for the proper chair and keyboard. I have already seen much improvement with my back and shoulders. I am able to use Jennifer's recommendations to narrow my search for the best equipment for my needs. With many available options, knowing what would be best helped me narrow my shopping and saved me time. I would definitely recommend this type of ergonomic assessment to anyone finding themselves working from home. Don't wait until you are in pain like I was. Get your work station right from the beginning.”

“Jen is a gem…she was not only doing a job she loves but also realizing the full potential of my space. And all with a highly personalized, thoughtful, and innovative approach that engaged me throughout the process.”

Jen not only maximized my desk work space, but helped me set-up a work station in an area that I make my back-to-back Zoom calls. Jen's ability to find solutions in the kitchen and living room expanded my viable work options beyond my desk. Her thinking outside the box will be helpful as I continue to work from home and seek variety. I feel “positioned for success”…

Jen completes the assessment with utmost professionalism while making everything easy to understand. She brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and good humor. This work is in her bones, and her gift is making it accessible to all. There was no need to go out and buy special products. Jen's presence also meant having the benefit of her creativity finding ordinary items around my home to address my ergonomic needs. That was much better than having to get online and start searching for expensive ideas to test.

Investing in Jen's expertise is really about investing in a lifestyle for success. I couldn't be more enthusiastic in recommending Home Office Ergonomic Solution: Positioned for Success.

At the start of the pandemic I was moved to working from home instead of my corporate office. Jen was able to come over and evaluate my office setup and make recommendations to improve the ergonomic design as well as giving me tips on how to make further improvements. She also provided a list of exercises and stretches I could do to help with the shoulder and back soreness I was experiencing. 6 months later and I've been able to take Jen's advice and really improve my office ergonomics as well as eliminating the soreness I had. I don't think my transition to full time work from home would have gone as well without her advice.

When Jen came to work on my workspace, I had no idea how much my desk setup was impacting my day-to-day life. I had attributed my soreness to many other things - exercise, fatigue, my bed. But after Jen fixed my workspace, working with what I already had and perfecting my space to fit me precisely, the difference was staggering. My arms were no longer sore from having to stretch to reach my keyboard. My back no longer aches at the end of a long day or at the start of an early morning. The impact that Jen had on my workspace was incredible. Jen is compassionate, personable, and cares about her customers. It is clear that she wants to help the people she works with, and that helping people to live their lives to the fullest is her passion. I can't say this enough - thank you Jen, for everything!

A goldmine! The day Jen Currens spent two hours assessing my home office was the day I

realized the crucial gap that existed in my plan to recover from debilitating pain. Like many

other professionals who have had to shift to more computer work in an ergonomically-

challenged environment, I found myself progressively and unconscientiously aggravating an old

injury. Almost every day I suffered pain that extended from my dominant hand through to my

neck. Finally, my team of physicians recommended a medical leave in order to rest and begin

therapy. Even with the progress, something was missing. I desperately needed someone "to

see in live time" how I used my computer at home in order to make sure the set up was

productive. Not only was Jen able to provide a complete observation and evaluation of my

home office, but she also addressed some areas of improvement regarding my PT and OT. Jen

makes it a priority that you understand not only the importance of a healthy work environment

but also bridges her evaluation to other personal daily routines. Her approach is genuine,

patient, relatable, and informative and it is obvious through her years of experience and

education that this is her passion. In a way, it is difficult to understand how I or anyone else in

the professional sphere has survived this long without the type of services provided through

Jen's home office ergonomic consultation. Already, I have less stress and discomfort when

sitting in front of a screen. And ultimately, I now have the confidence and support I need to

heal completely in order to return to full-time work using the computer.

Jen came to our house and did a very thorough 2 hour evaluation of my working environment (involving photos and measurements of chairs and desks). Her recommendations were transformative. Since I have got a new chair (at the right height), angled and positioned my devices differently and more, my back pain is gone! Jen's approach is far from being technical only, I'd call it holistic, she also has a lot to say about structuring the work day differently. A wonderful experience!

Jen was very helpful to me. I was looking for someone to advise on improving my posture in my office to reduce back and neck pain. She took the time to observe me working and we discussed several ways I could adapt my equipment to reduce stress. She also took the time to review several exercises I had been doing and ensure I was doing them correctly. Her suggestions were low-cost/no cost and have helped me improve my posture at my desk and be more aware of how to position my body to reduce back pain when working at my computer. I recommend her service for people who have a home office and want to be sure they are treating their back well!

Jen was timely, professional, and able to work with my schedule. She made a bunch of adjustments to my workstation that already are relieving some of my posture-related injuries. I've already recommended her to a bunch of friends.

Jen has been an amazing resource to our HR department with our goal of making our workplace a better for our employees. From working one-on-one with individual employees to group education seminars, Jen has worked with us to be able to educate our workforce both here in office and at their home offices about how to prevent injuries and strains. And the feedback from our employees has been tremendous as they are re-learning how to work safely and effectively.

Jen was great to work with and provided a very through assessment of our current office setup, along with customized recommendations for both my husband and myself based on our unique job requirements and working patterns. The adjustments made to our chairs involved adding physical reminders of how to sit with better posture which has helped more any method previously tried because it doesn’t require you to actively think about it throughout the day.

Jen came out to assess both my and my husband's home office areas since we work remotely and spend a lot of time at our desks. Jen took time to see how we use our desks and how the areas are currently set up. Jen photographed us while we used our desks so that she could show us what she was seeing and what the optimal positions would be for our bodies to reduce strain and pain. After showing us the photographs, she helped us move our desks, monitors, and chair positions, along with showing us how accessories could reduce our wrist strain. My husband uses multiple monitors and Jen's suggestions have made a big difference in his daily comfort. Jen made sure before she left that we understood what would help us and why they would improve our comfort. Additionally she showed us stretches that would help my husband's arms which had been strained due to his office set up. Jen is very practical and helped us come up with things we had around the house that could improve our office set up. Not only does Jen make sure that her clients understand the solutions she recommends, but she helps improve the office layout while she is there. Jen writes up her findings and solutions and creates a personalized document with photos. Jen emails the ergonomic assessment to her clients later. Having a written document is very helpful so that it can be referred to later. My husband and I highly recommend Jen and the services she provides. People spend a lot of time in their home offices and it is very beneficial to have someone with training and expertise come into your home and help make adjustments that can be made to improve your long term comfort.

Jen is a godsend! My teenage son has chronic neck pain and we have spent two years cycling through doctors and treatments to no avail. We had not yet tried OT, and we should have found Jen a long time ago. She came to our house and helped our son set up his desk and computer and showed him the best way to sit and do homework. She did a very thorough assessment of his posture in various places at home; she also showed him many exercises with the foam roller and tennis ball. She had ideas for PT practitioners for us to try Jen is thoughtful, kind and accessible, and her expertise has been reassuring to us. Now we are hopeful that the changes and suggestions she made will help our son improve and find relief from his neck pain. We highly recommend working with Jen to help with any ergonomic or OT/pain issues.
